Welcome to the ITEA Shops Project

The SHOPS project is a European research and advanced development project with the objective to propose an open, cross-domain, platform-neutral system supporting advanced functions for the payment of home fluids and utilities leading to innovative solutions and opening the door to new generation services.

SHOPS is part of the ITEA programme, itself a "cluster" organisation within the Eureka framework.

What's new:

Sept, 20th: The Final project review is planned in Schneider Electric facilities - Grenoble.

April, 2006: Cores partners participated to the poster and demo session in the IEEE INFOCOM 2006 Congress held in Barcelona  (23-29 April 2006).

March, 2006: SHOPS partners joint their contribution to write a booklet describing the project “Towards the liberalisation of Europe`s utilities industry” (ISBN 951-38-6782-X), published by VTT

The SHOPS consortium is made up of 11 partners from three European countries, quite well balanced between large companies (3), small companies (6) and research institutes (2).
Three main application domains are represented: Utility Services, Telecommunications and Home Utilities.

Schneider Electric is leading the consortium and is mainly involved in both Utility Services and Home Utilities domains.
